During this week I had time to finish my newest painting. It took me a while to decide how should I paint the left side of the skull. I finally chose a realistic look similar as the source of my inspiration: the skull drawing of Leonardo da Vinci.
I combined several contrasts in this work, around the skull there is the unpainted canvas which directs the attention to the middle of the painting. The skull is a contrast between "realistic" and abstract, mat and shiny, drab and colorful, silence and loudness.
Hello Patrick,
ReplyDeleteSorry i did not reply, i have been so busy lately.
Your canvas looks great, i'm glad that you decided to keep the original canvas texture in the background. The various contrasts are wonderful to see. Its great to see you keep the theme of abstracts running throughout your collection of paintings.
Speak to you soon!
